Basic Tips

In Your Main City
  • Concentrate on building up your resource fields for the first 3-4 days of the game.
  • Never build a theatre (gold is easy to come by), if you do use a mass nulifier to destroy it and use the space to build another garrison
  • Only place a maximum of 5 homes in your main city, I personally prefer only 4 (more homes can be built in your Outposts when you get them).
  • Always decrease your Tax Rate to zero when trying to fill up troop building queue's, this will enable you to have maximum idle population available to build with, then increase Tax back up to 50% when finished, giving you maximum Gold earnings per hour.
  • Good time management... Ensure you have a long build in mind and the resources to do it before logging off at night.
  • After building all chosen amounts of garrisons to level 1, concentrate on levelling up ONLY 1 of them to level 9 before before moving on to making a 2nd level 2, then a 3rd level 2, then a 4th level 2 etc etc... Alternatively, if you are using a script and can auto build, only build 1 Garrison and allow the script to level up for you whilst away from keyboard/sleeping etc, then add all other level 1 garrisons at a time when you can sit down and do so. The exact same process should be used for Training Camps in your Outposts.

Under Attack
  • Raise your 'Sentinel Tower' to level 9 prior to coming out of the 7 day protection, to gain as much info on in-coming attacks as possible, *there are more important things to spend Completion Grants on before raising this higher, unless you're a ruby buyer.
  • If you're being attacked you are unable to sell resources within trade, therefore checking to see if you're able to make a trade will let you know if an opponent has recalled their march or are still attacking you.
  • Always know who the closest alliance teammate to your city is, in case you need to send out your resources if you become under attack... You don't have to let the AT's/Packs/Porters reach your teammate, you can recall as soon as the attack is over, however this way you won't have to wait over 2 hours for your troops and resources to return.
  • The DOA teamwork & Kabalistics Scripts have extremely useful 'Wall' tabs... Where you can preset troops to be ready to go into defencive positions and wall for yourself with only a couple of click, the advantage in this is your game screen is still visible at all times to see whether further Sentinel Warnings are happening and also correctly choosing the right defencive pattern of troops without clicking "maximum troops" in a short space of time is nigh on impossible.

Useful Tips

  • Always at the start of every new realm the most abundent and cheapest resource is Food, get ready to grab all the bargains you can when you see them in trade & try to profit by selling for more than you paid for it.
  • Your Great Dragon is your best tool in finding egg's and armours, to increase it's protection whilst your away from your computer for a long spell, abandon one of your wildernesses and send your GD to attack a level 1 wild, the probability of someone attacking such a low wild is low, when you get back online your GD will be fully healthy to begin numerous waves of attacks towards gaining more eggs or armour pieces.
  • If being farmed, most often the best method is to send a message asking Why? And to give you a chance to grow and enjoy the game, be funny and laugh the previous attacks off... You'll have far more success with this, rather than going off on rants at the person repeatedly attacking you.
  • When taking control of wildernesses to increase hourly production of resources, don't claim the closest ones to yourself, save these ones so they are close by to be hit for resources/items readily and easily
  • If you have a much bigger player in your alliance willing to help out, they can defeat high level Wildernesses close to yourself (but not next door) allowing yourself to leave the alliance, attack the chosen wildernesses with only 1 spy each, once gained, apply and get back into the alliance and you'll have a dramatic increase in hourly production compared to what you can achieve with your own troops.
  • Remove all of your own Outposts from your bookmarks this will free up space to bookmark others... With the exception of your Spectrial Outpost, so you can send resources to it without having to memorise the coords.
  • Create an 'Alt' using a different e-mail address, and if you stay under the radar you can use this to safe house resources.
